Am done reading this book called "Journey of desire." It was very good. I think most of us shut out our desire because as Christians we are taught that desire is bad... or will lead to sin, suffereing etc. The author talks about desire from more of an eternal perspective, which is where i have reminded myself my desire has to remain. God made us to be little creators on this earth, and somehow sin gets in the way to everything running smoothly and well (I must remind one of my friends that this is not always our fault because we live in a sinfull world). In the end what we desire or thought we desired is a pile of dog >>>> and we decide that hope in earthly things, even things with eternal outcomes are things we will not ever hope for again. We become complacent and loose the passion and life that marks us as Christians. I am guilty of this, over and a million times over. I have had much discussion with friends about this... If things will not come to full fruition untill the end, then why bother the pain and hurt? People tell me it is worth the journey. i just cant wait to live in the new heaven or earth and Glorify God fully and perfectly in the way he created me to. The ripple effect in heaven will be wonderful.

BUT... in the mean time:

We are to hope in things not yet seen, that's whe faith is right? But I also hope in things that are my heart... simple things... What is that verse again... "No eye has seen no ear heard of the cool and great things God has in store for those that love him..."
