Already been done...

My parents minister asked me to help out at this new thing they want to try with young adults at the CRC church. (otherwise known as the dutch cult... shittin ya...) The minister seems very cool. Challenged me, no one has done that for awhile... Anyways, he wants to teach the alpha stuff... good stuff. I think he is looking to me on how to run the thing... like vision or something. So... I am scared... excited...

First off I think Leb was right on the whole generational kick he got on for awhile. Why exclude the older or younger generation, when we all look at things differently and can really learn from one another. (No I am not afraid that none of the young people will show up and the highly old people population will be once again... there, well maybe I am a little afraid...)

Secondly, the whole "lets have a meal, sing some songs, and look at the Bible" thing seems to be overdone a tad. So then what? How can stuff look in a less formal way? Ya, things I have asked a million times over. Everyone has something to give, just everyone is not always willing for a huge number of different reasons... Myself included... leading actually in the pack.

Thirdly, (if that is a word) a group of people have to be in charge, not one person. Have a group in mind, am chicken to ask... Hope they wont start making me go to that church again... I am still a member there... and at the Standard for that matter. Maybe I'll slip in to church tomarrow, and leave before anyone notices... nah... bed much more happy place.

Oh, the Alpha thing, Right...

Fourthly, should this be held in a church? will this inhibit those that need to come the most? Are we just going to continue to feed into the lives of those that have already been fed...(me included)


I know I can make up a million excusses, truth be told, I have an imeasurable amount of time on my hands... but always am held back by past experiences, present circumstances and possible future failiers. Guess I am like everyone else... Poop.

If praying is something you do, pray. If meditating and searching out wisdom is something you do, meditate. If you just this and find ways to put me down, that's ok too. Thanks...
