penut butter chase

Some things never change... In trying to get Joel to eat his toast crusts tonight I thought it would be a great idea to get the penut butter out and spread some on them. Apparently Joel still likes penut butter a lot, and mom still hides it. So after a long search, it was found behind the sugar on one of those back shelves that no one ever thinks to look. I get it out, walk into the dining room, take off the lid and Joel looks back, his eyes jumped out of his head... Everything that happened from then on is a blur. Joel took the penut butter from me, and took off running with it tucked under his arm (like a football). ( And specialists say his has no fine motor skills, my butt, it is selective fine motor skills!!!) For the next 15 minutes I chased him arround the house, up and down stairs and arround the kitchen table for it... FOR PENUT BUTTER!

You may not understand why it is so bad for Joel to have the penut butter... It is because he will take a spoon, and finish the whole thing in one sitting. He does it with hot dogs, eggs, salad dressing, (saw him drink a whole thing in one sitting) margerine, penut butter... And a few other things that I could be missing. He's also handicapt, which really says nothing because it is just a lable, and I think used way too often in his case to cover the fact that he has been babied his whole life... so its like "treat him with special care, because you know, he's handicapt"... love those lables.
